At the moment I have my mother's lovely, lovely camera on loan. Today I went out to the barn and snapped some photos of the geldings just 'hanging out'. So fun to play around with! I aimed to capture the wonderful and woolly textures that their coats are at this time of year. Of course the pre-sunset lighting helped too :)

Holiday Art Market 2013!

Work in Progress: Haircut2

I wanted to share a work in progress that's on the closer end to completion, but still needs some tweaks here and there. It's the second part of my 'Haircut' diptych.

Chloe

Here's a dog portrait commission I've been working on and finally feel that it is finished! Chloe is the first of 4 portraits (I'm working on the second currently) that are small 6 x 8 paintings. The series is a homage to the family's past and present beloved canine friends.  I will continue to post them as they come out!
